Professor Gary Hoffman is dually qualified in medicine and dentistry, having completed both degrees at the University of Queensland before undertaking full ANZAOMS-accredited oral and maxillofacial surgical training, with further tutelage in orthognathic and TMJ surgery.
He went on to four years of UK-accredited training in head and neck resective and reconstructive surgery across London, Leicester, Portsmouth-Southampton and Coventry-Warwick, with rotations in Switzerland and the United States.
Today he is a Senior Visiting Medical Officer in OMF Surgery at John Hunter Hospital and a Conjoint Professor at the University of Newcastle School of Medicine, and has authored 90 peer-reviewed publications.
