What is your appointment policy?

Upon receiving your valid referral, our office will contact you to book a consultation appointment.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

You will need to bring with you your referral, any imaging your referring practitioner has given you, paperwork we have sent to you either via mail or e-mail, your Medicare, Pension, DVA cards and your private health fund details.

Do I need a referral?

Yes, you require a valid referral from a medical practitioner such as a GP or Dentist to access Medicare rebates. We will see you without a referral, however, you will not be able to claim from Medicare.

Do you have HICAPS?

Yes, Hunter OMS has HICAPS available for imaging and hygienist fees.

Can I be seen if I don’t have health insurance?

Yes. We will inform you financially prior to any treatment required.

Where are you located?

Our rooms are located at Suite 213, 2nd Floor, 99 Pacific Highway, Charlestown

Is there on-site parking?

Yes, patients can access free on-site parking, via Smith Street, for up to two hours. 
Parking over two hours will incur a fee. The car park uses a number plate recognition system. Please enter your number plate to validate your parking wehn departing our office.

Do you have disabled parking and access?

The car park has a lift so that patients with mobility concerns do not have to negotiate stairs. Upon exiting the carpark lift, patients can proceed over the zebra crossing to our building which has lifts available to easily reach our rooms on level 2.

What are your regular office hours?

Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday 8:30am - 12:30pm

How do I get a medical certificate for my visit or surgery?

Please ask our friendly staff to arrange a medical certificate for you.

How is my confidentiality and privacy managed?

The Surgeons and staff adhere to the AMA code of Ethics regarding Privacy and confidentiality. Please be assured that your medical records are kept in the strictest confidence.

What are your billing arrangements?

We require payment on the day for your consultation. You will be required on most occasions to pay a deposit for your surgery and the balance payable within 7 days of surgery. Please note we do not accept cash at our Greta location.

What can I expect at my consultation appointment?

Our friendly reception staff will confirm your personal and medical details, and you may require an x-ray to be taken. During your consultation appointment, the doctor will focus on diagnosis and treatment planning, exploring treatment options with you. Our staff will inform you fully of treatment costs and scheduling requirements.
